Eureka Casino Resort Data Breach Investigation

Rancho Mesquite Casino, Inc. dba Eureka Casino Resort recently announced that it had suffered a large data breach, exposing its customers’ highly sensitive personal information to an unauthorized third-party.  If you recently received a data breach notice letter from Eureka Casino Resort indicating that your highly sensitive personal information may have been compromised, please contact us as soon as possible to understand your legal rights in response to the data breach.

Eureka Casino Resort has indicated that the data breach by unauthorized actors occurred on November 9, 2022. The data breach notice letter further informs victims that their highly sensitive personal information was exposed when Eureka Casino Resort claims it “experiences a cybersecurity incident during which some of our systems were encrypted by an unauthorized actor.” According to Eureka Casino Resort, the following information was exposed:

  • Names;
  • Social Security numbers;
  • Financial account numbers (in combination with security codes, passwords, or PIN).

Eureka Casino Resort operates hotels and casinos in Mesquite, Nevada, and Las Vegas, Nevada as well as in Seabrook, New Hampshire.  The highly sensitive information of approximately 229,299 individuals was compromised as part of this data breach. Recognizing the importance of the highly sensitive personal information that was compromised, Eureka Casino Resort is now encouraging its clients to remain vigilant by reviewing credit reports and account statements closely in order to detect any possible fraudulent activity. In addition to offering complimentary one-year identity theft protection, Eureka Casino Resort has provided an apology for any “inconvenience.”
