Darbie A. Smith
Darbie focuses her practice on real estate, business, and corporate law. Darbie grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, giving her firsthand knowledge of the trials and tribulations that can come with business ownership.
Before joining Hellmuth & Johnson Darbie handled a significant amount of landlord tenant, fair housing, and subsidized housing matters. Darbie has represented clients at all levels of litigation and administrative proceedings.
Darbie received her B.A. from Hamline University with a major in Legal Studies and two minors in Business and Economics. Her J.D. is from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she was the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. During law school Darbie worked primarily in corporate law, securities and alternative investments.
Outside of the office, you’ll find Darbie renovating old homes, on the lake or skiing on the slopes.
