Receivables Performance Management Data Breach Investigation

Receivables Performance Management, located in Lynnwood, Washington, is an accounts receivable management company for bank card and retail card, auto finance, telecommunications, media and utilities, healthcare, commercial finance and small business. If you recently received a notice of data breach letter from Receivables Performance Management, please contact us as soon as possible to understand your legal rights in response to the data breach.

On or about May 12, 2021, Receivables Performance Management, became aware of a data security incident that impacted its server infrastructure and took its systems offline. As a consequence of the data breach, Receivables Performance Management was forced to disconnect all of its equipment in order to restore its network systems. A third-party forensic investigation firm was retained and determined that Receivables Performance Management’s systems were first accesses on approximately April 8, 2021, with the subsequent ransomware being launched on May 12, 2021. Receivables Performance Management determined that over 3 million individual’s highly sensitive personal information was accessed and compromised by an unauthorized party as part of the ransomware attack. The data breach letter that was recently sent out to affected individuals, indicated that Social Security numbers were involved in the data breach.

Recognizing the importance of the highly sensitive personal information that was compromised, Receivables Performance Management is now encouraging you to “protect yourself from potential harm associated with this incident” and to “to remain vigilant” for potential incidents of fraud or identity theft.
