Sequoia One Data Breach Investigation

Sequoia One, a human resources, payroll, and benefits management company recently disclosed that an unauthorized third-party gained access to its clouds storage repository that contained the highly sensitive and personal data of its customers. Sequoia One has notified its corporate customers as well as individuals whose data was part of the data breach.  If you received a data breach notice letter from Sequoia One indicating that your highly sensitive personal information may have been compromised, please contact us as soon as possible to understand your legal rights in response to the data breach.

Sequoia One has indicated that the data breach occurred between September 22 and October 6, 2022. Sequoia One’s cloud storage environment contained highly sensitive personal information, including its customers’:

  • Names;
  • Addresses:
  • Dates of birth;
  • Gender;
  • Marital Status;
  • Employment Status;
  • Social Security numbers;
  • Work email addresses;
  • Wage data;
  • Member IDs; and
  • Covid-19 test results.

 

Recognizing the importance of the highly sensitive personal information that was compromised, Sequoia One is now offering free identity protection services. Sequoia One, through its public relations, has declined to comment on the full extent of the most recent data breach.
