Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC is pleased to announce the addition new attorneys. On April 1, 2014, Jonathan Jay, Calvin Branton, and Rod Zerbe will be integrating their practices with Hellmuth & Johnson. Jay will be joining the firm as a partner at its headquarters office in Edina, Minnesota. Branton and Zerbe will be “of counsel” to the firm and will base their practices out of the Edina office and New York, respectively.
All attorneys are joining from the commercial litigation group of the Minneapolis-based firm Leffert, Jay & Polglaze, P.A. The group brings a wealth of experience in the handling of commercial litigation in state and federal courts, in arbitrations, and in litigating insurance disputes. Branton and Zerbe also have extensive experience in defending professional malpractice and errors and omissions claims against insurance and reinsurance brokers. Jay adds his extensive background in intellectual property litigation, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and related intellectual property disputes (representing both plaintiffs and defendants).
Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC, founded in 1994 has grown to be one of Minnesota’s top 25 largest law firms. This addition will bring the total number of attorneys to 51 and the total staff to around 100 employees. The firm offers an array of legal services with a traditional focus on clients in the real estate, construction, financial, employment, business and technology industries.
