Neven is an associate at Hellmuth & Johnson, focusing his practice on various commercial litigation matters, supporting IP matters, and providing legal writing for all areas of litigation.
Neven is a refugee from Bosnia who came to the United States in 1996. He earned his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association, a staff writer for the Cybaris® Intellectual Property Review and was a participant in the Giles-Rich IP Moot Court Competition. Neven was the recipient of the Merchant & Gould IP Scholarship, Baker IP Scholarship, and the CALI Award of Excellence in IP Appellate Practice. Neven is very active with the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, co-chairing the Diversity Committee and being an editor for the quarterly publication.
Prior to attending law school, Neven received his B.A. in Biology, Society and Environment from the University of Minnesota in 2013.
Neven is licensed in both state and federal Minnesota courts as well as being a registered patent attorney with the USPTO.
Outside the office, his activities include hiking, fishing, camping, taking care of his garden, and riding, building, and repairing bicycles.
