Hellmuth & Johnson is pleased to announce attorney Kristine M. Spiegelberg Nelson has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Homeowner Association and Collections, Creditor Remedies & Bankruptcy practice groups.
Spiegelberg Nelson has focused her 20 years of practice on creditors’ remedies and consumer debt related civil litigation. She led her clients in navigating foreclosure, bankruptcy, complex quiet title and possession issues. She represented national banks in the recovery of real property during the 2008 global recession and advocated for consumer creditor recovery during the 2021 global pandemic. She specializes in foreclosure by action, resolving outstanding accounts through workouts, payment plans, statutory reinstatement, and when necessary judgment and foreclosure. She was a 2023 CAI Nominee for the Business Partner – Excellence in Service award.
Spiegelberg Nelson received her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota. She is admitted to practice in the State and District Courts of Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit of Appeals.
