Act Now to Protect Your 2023 Property Damage Claim

August 11, 2023, was one of the costliest hail losses in Minnesota, making NOAA’s list of “Billion-Dollar Weather and Climate Disasters” with preliminary damage totals in excess of $1.5 billion.  Generally, most Minnesota property owners have up to two years to finalize their storm damage claim with their insurer. Mistakenly, many policyholders believe that if you are simply talking with your insurer these deadlines do not apply to you. Those policyholders are sorely misinformed and are at risk of a complete denial of their claim if they fail to take appropriate legal action before the expiration of two years from the date of this storm.

If you or a property owner you know still has an unresolved storm damage claim from the August 2023 storm, now is the time to make sure your rights are fully protected. Contact Brenda Sauro or any of Hellmuth & Johnson’s experienced First Party Claims Attorneys for an explanation of your rights under your policies and for an understanding of the steps necessary to protect your rights. Failure to act will cost you.
