Adam J. Almen
Adam is a partner at Hellmuth & Johnson, focusing on commercial, employment and general litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Adam helped run his family business before founding his own small company. Additionally, he has worked with several Fortune 500 companies. These experiences are the foundation for his litigation practice and his role as a practical, no-nonsense advisor. Adam understands that he is not engaged just to agree with clients, but to push back when appropriate and game tough matters.
Adam has been named a Minnesota Super Lawyer Rising Star 2020-2023. He obtained his J.D. from University of St. Thomas School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Minnesota. He is admitted to practice in Federal and State Courts of Minnesota.

- Secured six-figure jury verdict and punitive damages award against employer for violating the Minnesota Human Rights Act and retaliation under the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Act.
- Secured six-figure jury verdict against a corporation and its president for defamation per se.
- Large settlement against individuals, trust, corporation, and joined company via Uniform Voidable Transactions Act resolving claims of fraud, tortious interference, and breach of fiduciary duty.
- Secured six-figure settlement for non-payment of wages action.
- Secured six-figure settlement prior to initiating a lawsuit related to allegations of ADA violations.
- Secured six-figure settlement for individual against Global 500 corporation and service agency for alleged violations of the Minnesota Vulnerable Adults Act (financial exploitation), Minnesota Human Right Act, fraud, intentional misrepresentation, and breach of contract.
- Secured six-figure pre-lawsuit settlement for allegations of sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and violations of the Minnesota wage laws.
