Chmielewski’s litigation experience in divorce and family law matters includes prosecuting and defending all types of contested issues. This includes the legal and physical custody of children; restrictions on parenting time; child support; childcare and day care expenses; education and employment-related issues; spousal support; complex property division; concealed assets and dissipation of marital assets; allocating marital interests in closely held businesses and professional firms; non-marital property claims; and distribution of property through negotiation or litigation. He also petitions and defends the appointment of guardians or conservators to gain decision-making authority over the health, finances, and welfare of elderly parents, disabled adults, and children.
Chmielewski obtained his J.D. from John Marshall Law School and his B.A. from Indiana University Bloomington. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota State and Federal Courts and Wisconsin State Courts.
