Hellmuth & Johnson is pleased to announce attorney Kathryn “Kate” Smith-Thompson has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Trusts & Estates practice group.
Smith-Thompson represents clients in estate planning and estate administration matters, helping individuals and families navigate both straightforward and complex situations. Prior to joining the firm, she operated her own solo practice, where she provided legal services to a diverse range of clients. Her professional background also includes experience in the financial services industry and as a legal assistant/paralegal at an international actuarial firm.
Smith-Thompson earned her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law, her Paralegal Certificate, summa cum laude, from Carthage College, and her B.A., cum laude, from Texas Woman’s University. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin State Courts.
