Cole Hickman joins Hellmuth & Johnson’s Estate Planning and Business groups

EDINA, MN – January 11, 2018 – Hellmuth & Johnson, a growing Top 20 Minnesota law firm, announced today that Cole A. Hickman has joined the firm as a Partner. His practice includes estate planning, estate administration, and closely held business law, which includes mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and business succession planning.

Individuals and families rely on Hickman to help them plan what to do with their assets during their lifetimes and after death. He also counsels personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries through probate and the trust administration process.  In addition to estate planning and administration, Hickman regularly represents closely held businesses in both transactional and litigation matters. His practice often incorporates tax mitigation strategies.

Active in the community, Hickman volunteers with the Plymouth Lions Club in several capacities, including serving as past President and Grants Committee Chair. Additionally, he is a Finance Committee Member of St. Joseph Parish Community and a Volunteer Attorney for Wills for Heroes.

Hickman earned his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, cum laude, where he was on the Dean’s List.  He received his B.A. in economics, cum laude, from St. John’s University.
