Hellmuth & Johnson is pleased to announce attorneys Alexandria (Alex) Mueller and Michele Loughrey Tschida have been recognized as 2022 North Star Lawyers by the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA). The North Star program recognizes MSBA members who provide at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services annually to low-income people at no fee and without expectation of a fee. North Star Lawyers provided more than 71,000 total hours of pro bono service in 2022 with an estimated value of $17 million in free legal advice.
Mueller practices in the firm’s Entertainment Law, Intellectual Property, and Business & Corporate Law groups. She advises businesses of all sizes in a variety of industries including filmmakers, event vendors, musicians and performing ensembles, composers, artists, authors and game and software developers how to manage their rights and maximize their market potential. Mueller is on the board for the Minnesota Music Coalition and Able Artist Foundation. Through referral relationships with Springboard for the Arts, the Minnesota Music Coalition, and the Production Music Association, they provide free legal services and discounted fees. She also volunteers through Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, managed by Springboard for the Arts, which connects artists with attorneys for free consultations and provides free workshops on legal and business-related topics.
Loughrey Tschida represents clients in estate planning, probate, and real estate law. She delivers pragmatic and sensible solutions for people to plan for their lifetimes and their wishes upon death. This is accomplished through a variety of estate planning strategies and documents, including wills, trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, and more. In addition to estate planning, she guides clients in residential and commercial real estate matters. This includes representation ranging from purchase agreements and contract for deeds to title insurance issues, quiet title actions and proceeding subsequents. She is a volunteer for Wills for Heroes.
