“Wage & Hour Issues for Minnesota Small Businesses”
The “Small Business Series” is a program geared for small businesses and is sponsored by Hellmuth & Johnson and Twin Cities MetroIBA.
The June 22nd program will feature Hellmuth & Johnson attorney Jason Raether. His presentation will cover some of the most frequent wage and hour problem areas that confront Minnesota businesses, with a special focus on small and medium sized employers. Topics will include:
- Minimum wage laws
- Issues with tipped employees
- The changing field of overtime laws
- Wage deductions
- Prevailing wages
The seminar will also review the procedure for wage enforcement, as well as best practices to reduce liability for wage violations. A brief question and answer session will follow, time permitting.

Presenter
Jason Raether focuses his practice on commercial litigation, employment law, and labor issues.
