Brady Martz & Associates recently confirmed that an unauthorized third party gained access to highly sensitive personal data stored on its networks. On November 19, 2022, Brady Martz became aware of unusual activity in its digital environment. A cyber-security investigation ensued, and on August 31, 2023 Brady Martz determined that highly sensitive personal information was affected that included individuals’ names, dates of birth, driver’s license or state ID numbers, health insurance information, medical information, and/or Social Security Numbers.
Recognizing the deficiency in its cybersecurity, Brady Martz has subsequently implemented upgrades to its data security on its networks. In addition to reporting the data breach to law enforcement, Brady Martz has offered affected individuals identity theft protection services whose Social Security numbers were affected by the data breach.
