Hellmuth & Johnson is pleased to announce attorneys Chad J. Bolinske, Jonathan R. Engel, and Colman M. Sutter have been named as Partners in the firm, effective January 1, 2025.
Bolinske joined Hellmuth & Johnson in 2024, where he specializes in complex commercial loan workouts, restructuring, and recovery. He possesses extensive knowledge of both secured and unsecured lending practices, as well as the necessary documentation, legal requirements, and judicial processes involved. Bolinske offers strategic counsel and representation to lenders facing a variety of challenging scenarios, including loan restructuring, collateral recovery, liquidation, bankruptcy proceedings, litigation, and foreclosure. He earned his J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and his B.S. from the University of North Dakota. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota State Courts.
Engel joined Hellmuth & Johnson in 2022. As a member of the firm’s Family Law practice group, he holds years of experience in family court litigation, which includes divorce, custody, and other related matters. He is a child-centric attorney who is passionate about children and helping families find solutions. He is experienced handling complex financial and custody matters, including issues of spousal maintenance, domestic abuse and of high-net-worth property division. He obtained his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and his B.A. from Winona State University. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota State Courts.
Sutter joined Hellmuth & Johnson in 2022. He focuses his practice on Information Technology, E-Commerce, and Intellectual Property matters. He negotiates technology transactions on behalf of companies ranging from startups to multinational corporations. With a deep understanding of cyber security and data privacy challenges, he distills complex issues to help his clients mitigate risk and enter business relationships on favorable terms. He also assists clients in protecting their brands through the registration of trademarks at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and enforcing rights against third parties in state, federal, and international courts and tribunals. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He is licensed to practice in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
