Katherine A. Herman
Katherine Herman is an associate in Hellmuth & Johnson’s Litigation group, where she represents various clients in a broad range of litigated disputes and advising matters. She practices principally in the areas of Appeals, Class Action Litigation, Complex Litigation, and Business litigation.
Katherine’s practice is focused on her client’s business needs in order to find the most effective solutions, whether inside or outside the courtroom. She represents clients in all stages of litigation in state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Hellmuth & Johnson, Katherine clerked for a law firm primarily focusing on appeals and business litigation disputes. She also was a certified student attorney with the St. Louis Park Attorney’s Office, where she appeared on the record on behalf of the city and participated in court trials. The experience furthered her interest in the inner workings of the judicial system and in a career as a litigator. During her final semester of law school, she served as a judicial clerk extern with Judge Nicole J. Starr at the Ramsey County District Court. There, she participated in jury selection, hearings, sentencings, and jury trials. She also drafted legal memoranda and orders for Judge Starr’s consideration.
