Elena D. Harvey

Elena Harvey is an experienced litigator representing clients in a variety of areas, including construction, banking, and corporate disputes.  Elena also has experience in matters involving personal injury, medical malpractice, and insurance defense.  She is a former Assistant County Attorney for Wabasha County, MN, where she prosecuted adult and juvenile crimes of all levels and took several cases to verdict.  Prior to practice, Elena clerked for the Honorable John T. Cajacob, Rice County.

Elena was a presenter at HarrisMartin’s California Asbestos Litigation: Trial 101 workshop in Los Angeles in May 2017, and has presented at other mock trials for industry professionals.  In addition to her work in complex product liability, Elena represents men and women seeking Orders for Protection through the Tubman Safety Project, and children in the foster care system through the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota.

  • Obtained summary judgment for a local contractor on a heavily-litigated contract dispute.
  • Successfully tried a worker’s compensation subrogation claim to verdict on behalf of the insurer.
  • Obtained summary judgment for numerous manufacturers and distributors in toxic tort matters, resulting in the dismissal of all claims against those clients.
  • Served as lead counsel on numerous matters for a national ride share company’s insurer in bodily injury, uninsured, and underinsured motorist claims.
  • Currently serves as panel counsel for a national mortgage servicing company.
  • Experienced in many other areas of law, including criminal law, personal injury and insurance defense.
